The prestigious international rating agency Moody’s assigned the Bank a Ba3 long-term local and foreign currency deposit and issuer rating with a Stable Outlook. This rating is on par with the sovereign rating of the Republic of Armenia and is currently the highest rating assigned by Moody’s in the country. The Ba3 rating from Moody’s is equivalent to the BB- rating assigned to the Bank by Fitch Ratings in the same year, which also aligns with Armenia's sovereign credit rating. Furthermore, the Bank was awarded the Gold Level “Customer Protection Certification” by the international agency MFR, the highest level of recognition in its category.
Acba bank is a full member of the SWIFT settlement system, a principal member of the VISA international card payment system, and a founding member of the local ArCa payment system. The Bank holds exclusive rights for the issuance and processing of American Express cards in Armenia.
Acba bank has been granted Principal Membership and Merchant Acquiring licenses by VISA International.
The Bank is a member of the International Confederation of Agricultural Credit (CICA), as well as the Union of Banks of Armenia.
Acba bank operates a robust network of 66 branches, with 21 located in Yerevan and 45 across Armenia's 10 regions. The Bank also maintains an extensive network of 264 ATMs throughout the Republic of Armenia.
Proparco, a subsidiary of the French Development Agency (AFD), became a shareholder of Acba bank with a 10% stake. In the same year, the Bank began issuing cards for UnionPay International, China’s largest payment network, further expanding international payment capabilities. Additionally, Euromoney magazine recognized Acba bank as the “Best Bank in Armenia for ESG” (Environmental, Social, and Governance).
To foster business development, networking, and new collaborative opportunities in Armenia, Acba bank launched the Acba Business Club.
Acba bank’s shares were listed on the Armenia Securities Exchange’s primary “A” listing, the exchange's most prestigious platform. During the same year, Acba bank customers gained access to Apple Pay and Google Pay, providing safer, more secure, and reliable payment tools.
The Bank introduced its new brand identity to the public. Along with this rebranding, the Bank changed its legal status and was renamed “ACBA BANK” OJSC. In the same year, the Bank’s employees were given the opportunity to become shareholders of Acba bank.
In collaboration with the VISA international payment system, the Bank pioneered an innovative payment system in Armenia featuring NFC (Near Field Communication) technology.
Through a partnership with UnionPay International, the Bank launched the servicing of UnionPay cards in Armenia, enabling payments in 183 countries worldwide.
Fitch Ratings assigned the Bank a Long-Term Issuer Default Rating (IDR) of “B+” with a Stable Outlook. During the same year, the Bank began acquiring and servicing international JCB cards from Japan.
The Bank launched USSD and PIN CHANGE services. Through USSD, cardholders gained the ability to instantly block their cards via SMS without visiting the bank. The PIN CHANGE service allowed customers to update their card PINs directly at any of the Bank’s ATMs.
The Bank upgraded its exclusively issued American Express Gold and American Express Blue cards to chip-enabled technology. Additionally, a dedicated website for American Express cards was launched.
The Bank introduced a new digital banking tool with the launch of the ACBA Mobile application.
The Bank launched its third American Express product, the American Express Cashback card, with exclusive issuing rights.
In partnership with the French firm Amundi, the Bank co-founded AMUNDI-ACBA ASSET MANAGEMENT in Armenia.
ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK became the only financial institution in Armenia to simultaneously issue and service three major international payment systems (American Express, VISA International, and MasterCard International) alongside the local ArCa payment system.
The Bank introduces the MasterCard UEFA Champions League card. Additionally, the Bank launches its second American Express product, the American Express Blue card, maintaining its exclusive partnership with the system.
The Bank launches American Express Gold cards with exclusive issuing rights in Armenia. In the same year, for the first time in the history of the Armenian banking system, the Bank’s loan portfolio approached the AMD 100 billion threshold. The Bank also began issuing MasterCard during this period.
ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK ranks first among Armenian banks for total taxes paid to the state budget.
For the fifth time, The Banker (a Financial Times publication) recognizes ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK as "Bank of the Year in Armenia."

The French banking group Crédit Agricole becomes a shareholder of the Agricultural Cooperative Bank of Armenia. The Bank is subsequently renamed “ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK” CJSC. For the third time, The Banker magazine names it “Bank of the Year in Armenia.”
The Bank achieves its highest-ever annual profit since its inception.

The Agricultural Cooperative Bank of Armenia continued its streak of excellence, being recognized as “Bank of the Year in Armenia” by The Banker magazine for two consecutive years.
The Ministry of Finance and Economy of the RA and the Central Bank of Armenia recognized the Agricultural Cooperative Bank of Armenia as the “Best Dealer in the Government Bond Market.” The same year, the bank was also named “Bank of the Year in Armenia” by The Banker magazine.
Three years after its founding, the Agricultural Cooperative Bank of Armenia (ACBA) was acknowledged “Best Bank in Armenia” by the Union of Banks of Armenia.
