SMS Notification Service
The Bank offers its cardholders the option to activate the SMS Notification Service, which provides the following benefits:
Within seconds after making a cash withdrawal or payment transaction with the Card, you receive an SMS notification about the transaction, showing the date, time, amount and location of the transaction, as well as, if desired, the card balance after the transaction.
In case of incoming funds to the card account, you also receive SMS notifications about transfers made to the Card, with the relevant description.
The SMS Notification Service is an important security measure, as it keeps you informed about all transactions made with your Card, and if you receive an SMS notification about a suspicious transaction, you can immediately call the Bank and block the Card.
You can find the tariffs for the SMS Notification Service for each card type in the card issuance and servicing tariffs published on the website.
To activate the service, simply call or visit the Bank and complete the relevant application.

Secure use of the Card at ATMs and ASCs
When making a transaction at an ATM, make sure that no one is watching you. Use only ATMs of banks known to you and, where possible, avoid ATMs located in remote and deserted areas.
Do not use an ATM or POS terminal if additional devices and/or an additional video recording device are attached to the card reader, keypad or cash dispensing slot. In case of doubt, please contact the Bank's 24/7 service center at (+374 10) 31 99 99 or (+374 10) 31 88 99.
After making a transaction at an ATM, do not forget to take your Card. For security reasons, the ATM will retain it after 30 seconds.
When using an ATM or making payments through POS terminals, cover the keypad with your hand when entering your PIN code to protect it from other persons or unauthorized recording devices.
Check whether the ATM has dispensed the amount you requested correctly. In case of any problems, immediately call the Bank's 24/7 service center at (+374 10) 31 99 99 or (+374 10) 31 88 99.
In case of loss of the Card or suspicion of unauthorized use of funds from the Card, immediately call the Bank's 24/7 service center at (+374 10) 31 99 99 or (+374 10) 31 88 99.
Secure use of the Card on the Internet
Fraudulent websites usually offer branded and expensive products at prices significantly lower than their official prices.
Large discounts (80-90%) or very short deadlines for taking advantage of them are usually used to attract visitors (for example, only 30 minutes remaining until the discount expires). Fraudulent websites may also use a countdown timer showing when the discount expires, which resets when the website is refreshed.
Fraudulent websites use inexpensive contextual advertising, often with suspicious posts (i.e., the customer enters the fraudulent website through an advertising link placed on another website).
Fraudulent websites usually have a cheap-looking design, and the designs of several websites are often repeated. Information about the legal entity is missing, addresses or telephone numbers may be absent or invalid.
Another distinguishing feature may be the absence of a page on any social media platform.
When fraudulent websites are searched on search engines (Google, Yandex, Bing), information indicating that the website is fraudulent (Fraud Alert) usually appears on the first page.
Advertisements for fraudulent websites are often placed on social media platforms, e.g. Facebook and Instagram, which can make customers more likely to trust and make purchases from such websites. A significant increase in the activity of such websites is observed around “Black Friday,” as it is widely known as a day of major discounts.
Carefully check the website address to make sure it has been entered correctly. Fraudulent website addresses usually differ only slightly from the genuine website addresses (e.g. www.gogle.com instead of www.google.com).
Taking the above into consideration, we urge you to be extremely careful when making any Internet purchase with your Card.
Cards issued by the Bank can be used for both cash and non-cash transactions.
Card transactions include:
payments through POS terminals,
payments by presenting Card details,
payments for goods, services and works via the Internet,
cash withdrawals from ATMs and cash dispensing points,
depositing cash to the Card through ATMs,
card-to-card transfers or payments through ATMs,
other transactions not prohibited by law or the Bank's internal legal acts.
When making a transaction with the Card, please remember:
A transaction can only be made at points of sale and service or through ATMs displaying the logo of the respective card system.
Funds credited to the card account may be used no earlier than 18:00 on the following banking day.
If the Bank did not request authorization (verification of the authority to perform the transaction) for a transaction, and the transaction amount exceeded the account balance, or the fee charged for the transaction made with the Card exceeded the account balance, as well as in certain other cases, an overdraft on the card account may arise, on which the Bank will calculate interest at the rate applicable to the use of the credit line in accordance with the Bank's tariffs.
When making a payment, before signing the receipt, make sure that the amount stated on the receipt corresponds to the amount of your transaction.
It is recommended to retain receipts for transactions made with the Card for at least three months after the date of the transaction.
When making a payment with the Card, always keep the Card within your sight.
If you cancel a purchase, request that your payment be voided (VOID) and retain the transaction cancellation receipt until you receive your next statement to make sure that the amount does not appear on the statement and has not been charged.
The Bank limits the number and maximum amount of cash withdrawal transactions made with the Card per day, as well as the maximum amount of payment transactions per day. Exceeding these limits may result in the transaction being declined. The limits may be changed within the limits established by the Bank's internal legal acts upon the Cardholder's request to the Bank.
Internet commerce provides an opportunity to conveniently purchase a wide range of goods from online stores, which often offer more affordable prices than traditional stores. In addition, for certain services, a payment card may be the only available payment method.
When making Internet payments, the following recommendations should be observed:
Use only websites whose addresses begin with “https” or use the “Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)” cryptographic protocol.
Keep your passwords confidential.
Keep your Card details confidential.
Enter your payment card details on websites only when making a purchase and never for any other purpose.
Do not ignore the online store's “Terms and Conditions” page.
Before making a payment, carefully read the delivery and return conditions of the online store. Check who will pay for delivery and make sure that the goods being purchased can be returned under certain circumstances (for example, in case of a defective or incorrectly delivered product). Check whether the online store delivers goods to Armenia.
Check whether the online store accepts payments with cards issued in Armenia.
Websites using 3D Secure technology enable seamless cardholder authentication when making Internet payments on websites displaying the “Verified by Visa” logo, as each payment must be confirmed with a one-time code sent to the cardholder via SMS to the mobile phone number registered with the Bank. The card transaction can only be confirmed if the correct code is entered. This method makes fraudulent card transactions virtually impossible.
Card-to-card transfers and utility payments
You can make card-to-card transfers through ATMs. Card-to-card transfers can only be made between cards serviced by banks that are members of the ArCa system. Fees specified in the Bank's tariffs are charged for card-to-card transfers.
In addition to other transactions available with the cards offered by the Bank, you can also make utility payments. The Bank offers several options for using this service, all without any service fee.
You can make utility payments using the following options:
Through a standing order
Through ATMs
Utility payments through a standing order
Each month, on the date you specify in advance, your utility payments will be made automatically from the funds available in your card account or from the credit line.
Utility payments through ATMs
To make utility payments with your Card through an ATM, select the “Payments” section from the ATM menu, select the relevant utility service on the screen and enter the required information.
It should be noted that all of the above options are intended to simplify the utility payment process and save you time.
The card account can be topped up:
At any Bank branch*,
Through ACBA ON-LINE and ACBA Mobile services,
Through the cash deposit service at ATMs,
Through cash deposit services at cash acceptance terminals and Automated Banking Machines,
By making a transfer from any other bank.
*except for banknotes with a denomination of EUR 500
For making transfers, it is sufficient to provide the transferring party with the information specified in the “Card and Card Account Details, Card Servicing Tariffs” document provided to you when receiving the Card.
Funds received by bank transfer will be credited to your card account in the Card's currency.
Making card transactions abroad
Payment cards are not only a convenient but also a secure tool for protecting your funds while traveling. Unlike cash, losing your Card does not necessarily mean losing your money, as you can block your Card with a single phone call and have it replaced quickly.
Just remember to follow our recommendations:
1. Before departure:
Check the Card's expiry date,
Make sure you have sufficient funds in your account,
Remember that there is a maximum limit for a single payment transaction, a maximum daily cash withdrawal amount and a maximum number of daily cash withdrawals,
To avoid transaction declines due to exceeding these limits, increase them in advance if the established limits are insufficient for you,
Write down your 16-digit Card number and all telephone numbers (listed below) that you can call in case your Card is lost or stolen abroad.
2. During your trip:
Before using an ATM, make sure that your Card details are not visible to people nearby.
If your Card is retained by an ATM, try to contact the bank that owns the ATM. If the bank refuses to return the Card upon presentation of an identity document, call Acba bank, which will arrange for the Card to be returned to you.
When making a payment with the Card, before signing the receipt, make sure that the amount stated on the receipt corresponds to the amount of your transaction.
Keep receipts for transactions made with the Card and, after returning, compare them with the transactions shown on your statement.
In case of loss or theft of the Card, immediately call the 24/7 service numbers (010) 31 88 99 or (010) 59 22 22 and report the loss of the Card. The Card will be blocked immediately after the call.
Delaying notification of the Card loss to the Bank may result in transactions being made by other persons using the Card.
The Cardholder is responsible for transactions made with the Card until the moment they notify the Bank that the Card must be blocked due to loss or theft.
To replace or close the Card, contact the Bank within 7 (seven) calendar days after blocking the Card.
To block the Card/acba digital system, you can submit a call request.
BENEFITS
Making a contactless payment takes only a few seconds.
There is no need to hand the Card to the service employee, insert it into the terminal or sign the receipt. For payments of up to AMD 20,000, there is also no need to enter your PIN code.
Contactless payments are protected by a reliable anti-fraud system. As an additional security measure, PIN entry is required for payments exceeding AMD 20,000. At the same time, contactless cards can still be used to make transactions using the Card's chip and magnetic stripe, as before.
