Regarding Annual Information Reporting under the CRS Standard

Dear Customers,

We hereby inform you that pursuant to the Republic of Armenia's accession to the Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement on Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information—the provisions of which entered into force via amendments to the Tax Code of the Republic of Armenia on October 21, 2024—"ACBA BANK" OJSC (hereinafter referred to as the Bank) enforces the requirements of the Common Reporting Standard (CRS).

1. What is CRS and how is reporting conducted?

CRS is an international standard developed by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Under this framework, once a year, the Bank transmits information to the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia (SRC), which then automatically forwards it to foreign jurisdictions participating in the standard.

2. Which countries receive the data?

Information is transmitted to countries that have joined the standard, exchange data with the Republic of Armenia, and where the Bank's account holder (or controlling person of the customer) is a tax resident (taxpayer).

For the 2025 reporting period, the list of countries participating in the automatic exchange of data with the RA SRC can be found on the official RA SRC website by navigating to: Activity International Taxation Automatic Exchange of Information (Lists of reportable jurisdictions with which exchange is conducted.zip).

3. What data is exchanged?

  • Financial Account Holder Information: Name/entity name, address, country/countries of tax residence, Tax Identification Number (TIN), date and place of birth, etc.
  • Account Information: Account details and balances as of the end of the reporting period.
  • Income Information: Amounts of income accrued and paid.

4. Changes to Data

  • In case of changes: Customers are required to inform the Bank of any changes in tax residence, address, or other tax details, and submit an updated Self-Certification Form.
  • If data remains unchanged: The Bank compiles and submits the annual report based on the existing data.

Important Notice

Data of reportable customers is transmitted to the RA SRC in accordance with the direct requirements of the RA Tax Code and the international CRS standard, without requiring a separate application or additional consent from the customer.

By continuing to use the Bank's services, you accept the information transmission requirements established by the RA Tax Code and the CRS standard. If you do not agree, you may notify the Bank by visiting any branch or by sending an email to crs@acba.am from your email address registered with the Bank.
