The Acba bank team in Urasar village, located in the Lori region, have come together with a shared goal։ to take care of nature and create a greener country.

At first, they hiked, and after overcoming the heights of Urasar, the bank employees started planting trees. The work of reforestation and the desire to create a long-lasting forest with rich biodiversity has reunited "My Forest Armenia" organization and Acba bank. This year the Acba team planted birch trees.

Birch trees correspond to the climatic and soil conditions of Urasar, that is why this tree species with beautiful bark and leaves were chosen.

"My Forest Armenia" organization has set a new milestone: until 2025, it will plant 800,000 trees annually, as a result of which 240 hectares of new forest will be created.

"Acba bank has been emphasizing the development and preservation of the environment since the first day of its establishment. For this purpose, we gather every year to contribute to the greening of the environment," said Ani Poghosyan, talent acquisition team lead at Acba bank OJSC.

The primary objective of "My Forest Armenia" is to maximize the number of forests in Armenia by expanding forested areas. Armenia is poor in forest landscape. Together with Acba bank, which is one of our "donor" companies, we have successfully planted birch trees.

Our goal is not only to plant a forest, but also to engage the people of Armenia in this endeavor, so they understand the significance of forests," said Arpine Aleksanyan, corporate relations coordinator at "My Forest Armenia" organization.

It is already the second year that Acba bank has joined the "My Forest of Armenia" initiative: thousands of trees are planted to increase green areas.
